Where are the tenants at The Brucklyn from?

Our tenants come from Germany, the EU and from all over the world. We have students, apprentices, trainees, interns and also professionals, consultants, commuters, employees from all professions, the self-employed and those who have just relocated. The community is very important to us.

How do I apply for an apartment at The Brucklyn?

Are the governmental Media/TV fees (GEZ) included in the rental price?

No, the local fees for city registration and the Media/TV are to be made independently.

How much is the deposit?

The rental deposit is €1250 and must be paid before moving in.

Is an underground parking space available?

The house has a spacious, modern underground parking area. If you have your car permanently with you during the rental period, a parking space must be rented automatically. The monthly rent of currently € 75 is automatically charged together with the rent for your apartment. Please contact the property management for more information.

Is there a place to store a bike?

We have two large bike rooms in the basement, which you can use free of charge. In addition, there is a bicycle room outside, in front of the building.

What else do you have to bring?

You only need to bring your pots, crockery/dinnerware, cutlery/silverware, bedding, and towels with you. Moving in and out is quick and easy!

Shared Areas

Can I use the common areas in the 4th floor area?

The outdoor pool and lounge on our roof-top terrace, as well as the soccer / basketball court on the top floor, are available to all our tenants free of charge. The sauna, the spa area, and the gym in the attic is also open to tenants free of charge. Please check the rules of use in the lease before visiting the common areas.

How is the cooking lounge used?

All tenants have a large kitchenette in the apartment, but in the cooking lounge you can cook together with your neighbors and enjoy the fruits of your labor in a fun and creative atmosphere. At the large cooking island, baking cookies and cooking pasta become an event. Especially inviting is the long dining table and the chill lounge lounge, as well as the two 65-inch Samsung in-wall TVs, where you can watch cooking shows, your favorite series or football shows with your friends and neighbors.

What can I expect at the gym?

The gym is equipped with everything needed for a good workout: from endurance equipment to conditioning and coordination PAVI Gym technology, also in competition mode for 2 or more people, for versatile strength training. The area is well-lit and has panoramic windows.

How does this work with the cinema? Can anyone visit it at any time?

The cinema room features comfortable armchairs, high-tech equipment and SKY receivers. Every tenant can reserve this area for TV, gaming, sports, feature films or a favorite series with the administration staff, free of charge. They then get the key and a technical briefing. All that’s required of the tenant is a deposit of 100 €. This serves as security and is of course refunded with proper return of the keys and a well-kept cinema area.

Is there a way to do laundry?

On the ground floor, near the foyer, the tenants have access to a well-lit laundry room equipped with coin-fed washing machines and dryers. Detergent must be brought by the tenants. Manuals for washing machines and dryers are available on site.


When can I meet the maintenance supervisor?
Our maintenance team is generally available for you on weekdays during our normal office opening hours, in on-site office. However, please keep in mind that the maintenance personnel has various maintenance activities throughout the facility and may not always be found in the maintenance office. In this case, you can leave a message with the property management or via the The-Brucklyn-App.

Unser Hausmeister ist grundsätzlich werktags zu den Verwaltungsöffnungszeiten in seinem Büro im Haus anzutreffen. Bitte bedenke, dass der Hausmeister häufig Arbeiten im Haus erledigt und deshalb nicht durchgehend im Hausmeisterbüro anzutreffen ist. Daher kann man ihn auch durch die Hausverwaltung informieren oder über die The-Brucklyn-App kontaktieren.

Is there an on-site contact person?
Our administrative office is located in the building (4 OG), with the following opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12: 00 pm and Mon-Thu: 1: 30 – 4: 30 pm. You can also email us, call us, or send us your questions via The Brucklyn App.

The Apartment

How are the apartments equipped?
All our apartments are equipped with high quality fixtures and fully furnished. They have a large bed including mattress cover, a wardrobe/closet, a sofa, a desk with an office chair and a pull-out dining table with two stools and plenty of storage space. A kitchenette with high quality Siemens appliances, such as oven / microwave, a ceramic hob/stovetop, a dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer combination, and a stylishly designed bathroom with large shower are also part of the inventory. Tenants also have access to a 49-inch television and a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. All apartments have a private balcony or terrace.
Is an internet connection available in the apartment?
Each apartment has its own high-speed internet access. The house has a balanced 1000 Mbps fiber optic cable – this means that you have the same performance for uploading and downloading.
May I have visitors at my apartment?

Permanent / regular accommodation of third parties is not permitted. However, if you occasionally receive a visit (for example, over the weekend), that’s fine. Basically, the apartment is designed for one single person.
CAUTION: Failure to follow these rules constitutes a breach of contract and may result in termination without notice.

Can I sublet my apartment?
A subletting is not possible. If you have any questions about a changed personal living situation, please contact the property management.
May I smoke in my apartment?
No, smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the house. This also includes smoking “with the window open”. For smokers, there are some smoking areas outside.
What kind of technology do I find in the apartment?
Our apartments are also technically up to date. A high safety standard is guaranteed via an in-house video intercom with a color monitor.
The The-Brucklyn app also connects tenants online, and the high-speed Internet with 1000 Mbps fiber-optic cable leaves no surfers’ wishes unfulfilled.
